A timeless transformation for this suburban red-brick gem brought to life by Studio Pare and Chris Svern.
Nestled in the picturesque suburb of Mount Helen, Victoria, Horizon House is a striking red-brick home with a rich history and a new vision. Purchased in early 2024, this residence has undergone a thoughtful transformation in collaboration with Studio Pare, seamlessly blending modern sophistication with its original character.

The design approach centres on preserving the home’s inherent charm while introducing contemporary elements that enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal. A key consideration in the redesign was the clients’ cherished furniture collection, which carries deep sentimental value. Every material selection and spatial composition was carefully curated to showcase these pieces, allowing them to take centre stage within a harmonious and refined setting.

​To breathe new life into the interiors, a strategic use of feature colours on the walls was introduced, adding vibrancy, depth, and personality to the space. This infusion of colour, paired with a refined selection of finishes and textures, creates a home that feels both inviting and enduring—an elegant fusion of past and present.
